Knowledge of Effective Use of Non-Pneumatic Anti-Shock Garment by Midwives in Usenu Primary Health Centre, Irrua, Edo State

This study examines the knowledge and effective use of Non-Pneumatic Anti-Shock Garments (NASG) among midwives in Usenu Primary Health Centre. NASGs are life-saving devices used to stabilize women experiencing obstetric hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality in Nigeria.

The research investigates midwives’ awareness of the NASG, their competence in its application, challenges in usage, and the outcomes of patients treated using this device. Findings will help improve maternal health interventions, reduce maternal deaths, and enhance emergency obstetric care in rural healthcare facilities.
